AUTHOR NEWS
Work continues on the fourth Louise Miller book, ‘TIL IT BLEEDS. I’m well over half way through the writing, with around 180 manuscript pages and 65’000 words currently completed and edited.
Very much still on track to be finished by the end of August and then in September it goes to my beta readers who I hope will be kind and tell me the book is amazing. They won’t of course, and there’ll be some editing and re-writing to do I’m sure based off their notes and feedback, but all is moving smoothly so far towards the November release date.
Searching for your next favorite story?
Look no further! These bestselling authors have teamed up to offer a delightful selection of new books. Available for a limited time.
LINKS TO JUNE’S POSTS
I want my substack to be more than just a monthly newsletter. I intend to use the platform to showcase long form articles about my personal road to publication and the decision to go the indie author route, as well as behind the scenes into my writing process. I’d also like to discuss topics such as the rise of AI in fiction writing (which I never use except for help with research), mental health awareness and the importance of fiction during turbulent times.
This is also a great way to put some pieces of fiction out into the world that have sat on my computer or Compost Heap of ideas for many years. I started this month by releasing a couple of short stories I wrote for my BA degree of Creative & Professional Writing.
Most of these are free posts which anyone can read, but a few are for paid subscribers. I hope you will consider becoming a paid subscriber and that these extra posts offer you some great value. Please let me know any other content I could offer for paid subscribers as I am still learning what is best for me as a writer and my readers.
Do you want to be notified when a new post goes lives? Let me know.
Enjoy!
